I am taking this rare opportunity to express my voice on the blog because for the past couple of months I  have felt a calling in my heart to use my business in some way to contribute to a worthy cause. I truly believe that God plants little seeds in us and they all bloom…

As a child going through my grandparents’ cookie tins filled with black and white family photos was the way I learned my history. Those images made people come to life.  Sometimes just having my grandparents glimpse at an image would spark an afternoon of  stories that soon became an evening filled with laughter, food, and…

Where did you get these mats? Did they come together with the prints? I use WHCC and I’m looking for a product like this out there now.ReplyCancel

I am so happy to add this to the products I offer my clients.

One of the things that has taken me a long time to figure out how to get the way I like has been my black and white photos. I have long admired the likes of Jasmine Star and Justin and Mary for their clean black and white photos. I went through periods of trying several…

Industry secrets!! LOL JK. This is great. That is something I do love about your photos – not too overly processed. Sometimes I find myself overly concerned with actions or achieving a look – when really if you know what you’re doing, you’ll get a good shot no matter what. Great share, awesome pics!ReplyCancel

I challenged myself to do something this year that scared the beejessus out of me, namely a stylized shot. Thinking about it literally put knots in my stomach. Well the big day was this past weekend and though it was an exhausting 2 days prepping for it, the shoot came out better than I could…

Great job, ladies. The setting and details are all fantastic. And I can only imagine the delicious fun you had “cleaning” up those treats! You’re great at stylizing so I look forward to seeing more of these in the future!ReplyCancel

It came out gorgeous, Nicole. Thank you for inviting me and allowing me to be apart of your shoot. Granted… you had me when you mentioned food and sweets, haha. Beautiful work!ReplyCancel

Random thoughts on my film experience so far. I feel like I am back at square one with photography because I am really just flying by the seat of my pants when it comes to shooting film. Not quite sure if I am metering right and darned if I don’t break out in a cold…

Some of you may remember Khadijah from her family mini session last spring. Well I have been crushing on Khadijah’s business Babycakes Couture ever since I saw the fabulous things she can do with cupcakes and cake pops. Khadijah approached me back in February  for head shots for the launch of her new website and…

I like to think of myself as a food scholar.  One who engages in the study of all areas of preparation of food. It sounds so much more refined than foodie or hungry greedy girl. Food means so much to me. It is a sign of love, life,  hospitality, comfort, graciousness, kindness. So many of…

Hi Nicole. I love this giveaway! Food is a life pleasure for me as well, and I love shopping for ingredients, preparing food, feeding loved ones, and exploring new restaurants. My favorite Food Network personality is Ina Garten (aka Barefoot Contessa). She is full of life and love for food. I have 2 of her cookbooks and I have yet to make a bad recipe. They are easy to understand, and fairly easy to make, yet challenging enough to where I am being pushed as a chef. And of course, they always taste amazing!

ps – I continue to love your blog and check in here regularly for new posts! Thanks!ReplyCancel

A ball of nerves.   That’s what I was upon starting the Justin and Mary’s Buckles and Burberry Walk Through a Wedding this past weekend in New Haven Connecticut. Meeting new people in big groups makes me anxious, almost sick to my stomach. Meeting people whose blog you stalk on a daily basis and whose…

I was in Anthropologie and I happened to pick up this little gem this weekend. Isn’t it adorable? I really needed something to organize my jewelry which is usually in little jewelry pouches which makes it difficult to keep inventory of all that I have. I love that everything can be out in the open…
