Kira and Jay | Art Museum| Philadelphia, PA

I met Kira through my friend Angela when we met up for drinks one night in Rittenhouse. Kira was newly engaged and as girls are want to do we sat there and chatted about her wedding plans. Little did I figure that within the week Angela would call me requesting a gift card to Kira for an engagement session. I met with Kira and Jay a few weeks later to discuss plans for their session. The big concern was whether Jay would smile. He is notorious for having a stony stoic face in photographs. I promised Kira that I would do whatever it would take to make Jay laugh even if it meant acting a COMPLETE fool. Well luckily I didn’t have to resort to my extreme laugh making measures. In fact Jay did smile and as you can see from the photos below he was great at making Kira show those pearly whites.

Our session was originally planned for Franklin Square (the same place as their first date) but had to be moved to the Art Museum due to a Halloween celebration.  However, I think the beautiful fall colors and views of the city were a perfect backdrop for Kira and Jay.

Congrats Kira and Jay. Enjoy and relish each day of your engagement. And thanks for being such great sports even when it started to get a little chilly:)

I love Jay’s homage to Halloween. Very subtle and stylish. And you know I was crushing on Kira’s cocktail ring.
