So I found my book of lists this morning which had my 101 in 1001 that I put together back in like April. How awful is it that I only made a list of 78 items? I mean am I a failing before I start. And sadly in looking through the list I have only checked off a handful of items. I also looked at my old blog and saw that I did not finish my 365 picture project which eventually turned into 52 (week) project which eventually aaahhh ….. just fell off. I am starting to see a pattern here.
So I am committed to have a year long project (item #79 on my 101 list – making progress) that I WILL finish and that produces something uniquely me at the end of it.
Earlier this week I saw that Shannon at Shannanigans (who is hilariously funny and awesomely crafty) started an encyclopedia of moi. What a wonderful idea. It involves a commitment of once every two weeks (seems easy) of tackling a letter of the alphabet and telling some quirky little facts about yourself. And I should know myself enough to be able to write things fairly easily, that is, till we get to the hard letters like “X” and “Z”. At the end of the project I am hoping to compile all my posts into a little book.
By putting it out here on my blog I am making you hold me accountable. And if my installments are late you have full permission to send me a “What’s Up With That?” email.
Also you are welcome to join me in my year long adventure. Love to find out more about all of you.

1. Airplanes
I am like BA from the A-team, you literally have to drug me to get me on a plane. I HATE flying. I feel like my heart is going to burst through my chest and I will pass out because I am so overcome with fear and panic. I am sure my husband is tired of me placing the death grip on him on every flight. Xanax helps take the edge off but it still doesn’t completely put me at ease. So say a little prayer for me and also for Roe next time we have to fly.
2. Apple
I have drunk the kool-aid and I am so happy that I did. Apple makes some of the most sexy products out there. Can you honestly tell me that you can resist the pretty white lights and shiny objects begging to be touched when you pass an Apple store. I have an Iphone (which is the last thing I touch each night and the first thing I reach for in the morning- so sad) and a Macbook and hopefully one day the Ipad will be mine as well. Thank you Steve Jobs for making me an addict. Job well done.
3. Audi
Audi and I have a love hate relationship. I regret giving up my Mini Cooper (oh how I miss her) but I love the comfort of having a normal sized car again. Yes Audis handle well and have great amenities but secretly I still long for my Mini.
4. Arabic
My uncle is a linguist and speaks many dialects of Arabic. At the start of 2009 I started to listen to tapes in order to teach mysellf Arabic. How hard could it be I thought since I have studied Latin, French, Spanish, and German. Oh boy! Arabic is HARD. I mean really hard. I am hoping to pick up my lessons again but without constant reinforcement it sadly is not sticking. Maybe when I retire.
5. My accent
I have a hybrid Philly, southern accent. In college the common question I would get is : “Are you from down South?” Yeah if you consider anything south of NYC down south. My grandparents were both from the south and so my mother and I have a slight southern accent on some words. And when you throw in the Philly accent of eg “mare” for mayor, “wooder” for water, and “Fill Uff Ya” for Philadelphia, it makes for a weird combination.

Hope - I love the idea…may need to adapt for my girls…my 365 failed too…I’ve started a 52 week project this year …
Amber - I’m totally doing this- just made my first post.
